No Jurors are assembled into groups called pools the day of the trial and they do not know which case they will get until they are seated in the box.
I believe the lawyers on both sides know what case youll be assigned to, if they pick you, but you wont know till they do.
It probably varies from state to state. Here you are called into a jury pool, where you sit while lawyers pick out the people they want. You go straight from there to the case for which you have been picked and the rest of the pool goes home. Then the lawyers weed through the people they've picked until they have the jury they want. It may be different for bigger cases too. The one time I was on a jury, I went from the pool to the case being finished and sentenced in one day. There was no opportunity to look anything up online, and you wouldn't be allowed even if there was. You are only allowed to judge the case on the facts presented in court.
