I watched rug rats one time when I was little and it was talking about the monster under the bed that crawls up into the bedsheets. Scared the crap out of me. haha.

Well i use to think a crocodile lived under my bed, and an half alien half goblin in the closet and i had to sleep with all the lights off and my blanket over my head otherwise they would be able to see me and eat me! But I also use to think that my furby was going to kill me.

I never believed in imaginary monsters when I was little since I was more worried about the real monsters out there and what humans were capable of. When I was little, I used to watch the news every night and they always start off with a murder/kidnapping/rape and that made me worry.

It wasn't so much a monster as it was an enormous feeling of dread and despair at the thought of going upstairs. With most kids, it's the basement or the closet or something like that. With me, it was the whole upstairs. I still don't have the foggiest idea as to why.

It was in my closet. And actually it was Satan (I was a messed up kid). The one under my bed was Barney, and while I was obsessed with him from 8am to 5pm... he just seemed too creepy for my liking. That cheery loveable smile turns into a crazed grin in the dark.
