I need to add another answer to this. You grossly misstated the research. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/27343876/ It suggested that smelly farts *REDUCED* blood pressure, not that it was an indicator of high blood pressure. I think this is a perfect example of someone either a) not being able to read, b) repeating what they heard without checking the facts, or c) simply wishing to sensationalize something for effect. Reminds me of some political ads I've seen lately. Misquotings represented in the best (negative) light.
