Attend one, I think. I never been invited to an adult party that wsn't a wedding or something, and even then it was more obligatory than enything else. So just show me a corner with a chair so I could read my book while everyone else does whatever it is one does at a party, for I wouldn't want to interrupt the proceedings.

I'd rather attend. Then I don't have to clean up the mess afterwards. I'd go to any party where the emphasis is on the food and not the drinks.

I'd rather be the host because I would have more control over who was invited. We don't have boring guests, unlike some people I know.

I would rather host it, invite who I want and KEEP IT SMALL and intimate. I would enjoy the cooking and planning, and arranging, though not the cleaning before or after lol!! But it would be worth it!

I love to throw casual parties at my place and definitely enjoy hosting a good time! But I don't want to have to handle anything fancy, elaborate, or expensive - I'll leave those shindigs up to someone else!!! For a laid back BBQ, or a couple of very strong drinks, my place is where it's happening :D

I do quite a lot of both, but without doubt, its easier to go to one that have to throw one, they are a lot of hard work, organising the entertainment, food, right mix of people to attend, children or not, inside or out, swimming or not, you know the drill, Its much funner, as my boys would say, to just attend one, and enjoy some one elses hard work,...:)

I love to have friends over too! In fact, we just started a Stone Soup Friday night, where everyone brings over a different component of dinner (started w/strombolis and calzones, salad,dessert, you get it...) and played cards. Anything that keeps us *social* and not watching movies or TV is great! I love that this travels, though, too, so I don't have to empty the dishwasher.. ;-D

I like both: my house is real small, so I can't have a big party, but I love to cook and serve and entertain. I love going to others homes to a party, my friends have big beautiful homes, and I love meeting new people.
