  • Would it be possible to remove the collar when feeding then replace it later? If not, place the bowls on a elevated step so that the cat does not have to crouch down to eat or drink - an angle that will make it easier to access the water and food...
  • there are those syringes that you can fill with water and liquefied food in s/he isn't eating anything at all.
  • Call your Vet. For what those guys charge you should be able to get a free phone consultation. Barring that, I would just remove the collar and sit with the cat until it's finished. Poor kitty...
  • As for liquids , you could try the feeding bottle as with kittens. But he should not bite it away!
  • Dont worry they can actually eat and drink with the collars on, if he is hungry or thirsty, watch him go!! Sorry to hear he is poorly though, poor little man!!
  • A babys feeding bottle should do the trick....
  • Take a bath towel and twist it around to look like a rope, tie it real tight around his neck. It should have the same effect as the collar (to prevent him from licking) but will give him more freedom to eat and drink. It's a high maintenance solution because they can take it off but it's worth a try. It worked for my dog when she had her surgery
  • when your cat is hungry you are surpose to take it off the cats neck for him or her to eat and drink wen the cat has finished eating then you put it back on, dont try and feed the cat with it on thats just being silly.
