No. Algernon gave one example. I would include dogs who remain to guard the body of disabled or deceased owners, and cats that have done likewise. I doubt that you can attribute "hope" to many animals other than certain domesticated pets, however.

seeing as hope is just a wish for things to get better, i dont see why not. Even the smallest animal can tell that some things are better for them than others. That way they always hope for the better

yeah, because hope is a manmade concept. IT's only wishful thinking fo rthe future and animals have no concept of their future which is really only a concept of one's own mortality and the timeline of their life.
