Is there bone or stuff or even both in yer shower drain?
-
you're talking about hydrofluoric acid. It was indeed once used to clean drains, as well as carpets, but is far too dangerous for consumer use. It is an acid, but an extremely weak one. How can a weak acid be dangerous? This particular acid does not hurt particularly much when it gets on your skin, but instead leaches into your bones and starts dissolving them. Victims of HF exposure can go 72 hours without pain before their bones suddenly start breaking. So don't use it!

Lye, you can get it at Home Depot.

It's called drain cleaner. It's not an acid, if fact it is strognly alkaline.
