Should 16 year olds be allowed to leave high school and join the military to serve in a non-combat position? Explain, please.

no. basic education is required to function in any military position. The 16 year old would better serve their nation by getting that final two years in, and then joining up. Otherwise the military gets an inferior soldier.

16 is too young to be in the military. There's not enough maturity at that age to be able to handle the life and the stresses that go with it.

I think that it is way too young to join the military.They do not realize the conscequences of joining and the chances they are taking with thier lives,thus they could wait until they are 25 then decide,for they are more mature.

certainly NOT. that is too young. wait a year and join as a 17 yr old with both parents signature, or better still, go to college instead
