Help answer this question below.
With a lower case "s", satan means "the adversary”. Many religions would qualify, as most monotheistic religions consider any deity but theirs to be an adversary and/or Satan (with an uppercase “S”). Most deities are considered an adversary by someone. Even Yahweh/Jehovah is considered an adversary (by devil worshippers).
Do you mean those who worship/follow what Satan (uppercase “S”) represents? The official Church of Satan would qualify. Satan is seen more as an allegory for worshipping human nature and potential. Satan is seen as representing escape from the bonds of convention in order to reach self-actualization.
Do you mean those who worship the Christian/Islamic idea of Satan? Devil worshippers do exist, although their views of Satan do not coincide with the views Christians/Muslims have. They see Him more as a hero who rose up and fought against the tyranny, arrogance, and oppression of Yahweh/Jehovah.
Ok... this is respectable?
Satan represents indulgence instead of abstinence!
Satan represents vengeance instead of turning the other cheek!
When walking in open territory, bother no one. If someone bothers you, ask him to stop. If he does not stop, destroy him.
Isn't he a symbol of death and destruction? God may not be the answer but Satan surely isn't.
I know it's a belief but it seems a little ironic.
Thats like saying what would compel any individual to worship god. They have beliefs just like you do. And frankly i cant stand those who bother to brand them as not okay because they dont believe the same things as you do. I believe people would worship satan because they are sick of god being pushed in their face by people who are an embarrassment to the christian religion. People who are far from "christian".
Some people would prefer to rule in hell than serve in heaven.
In my experience, it stems from either A:a lack of faith in god or feeling of having been devinely skrewed over.
or B:A strong sense of rebellion and angts, leading them to automaticaly o the opposite of what authority figures expect them to do, and as a form of rebelion againts a christian ubbringing.
i dont know.

I've read that in the Koran, Satan enticed believers to mutilate the genitals of their sons. Is that true? References, Rodwell, 1937?

I try, but am not Satanist (I'm Wiccan). I'm hardly an expert. At least I don't give nonsensical answers based solely upon hearsay and Christian dogma.
