"States could face historic fiscal crisis". It seems at least 22 states (including California) are in very bad financial trouble..tax revenues have disappeared faster than expected. Is your state in dire financial trouble? Are you among the 22?

Yes and yes. They have laid off fire fighters and correctional officers and probation officers just to name a few. We are in serious trouble here in Florida!

Though not from US, it still concerns me that US is facing a crisis. And also the world is affected by this. I remember of the crisis that prevailed in the late 1920s and the New Deal in '33. We need some really strong and effective measures to do that. Or hopefully we find another Roosevelt in the new US president. Wishes for your country and for the world to get over this. We are probably #1. My state, Michigan, has budget issues and employment issues. Its a great state to live in, but not work in.

Nope. My state has a budget surplus. Tax collections have been 3% over the forecast. Our state government cannot borrow money. So, we are not broke and in debt like some others.
