Hard as it may seem I totally understand that. Most guys don't mind which parents babysit, most women know and trust and prefer their own parents. Its a protective instinct thing I think.

Tell your son that you want more opportunities to spend time with the baby and that you feel somewhat left out. It's probably not intentional at all.

A tough situation and a conversation you need to have with your son. Seems unfair that you can't get one of those four days if you want one. But your son has to have the backbone to step up to the plate for you.

awwwwwwwwww ginger I am so sorry to hear that. You need to be involved in the baby's life as much as they are. I think if it were me, I'd have to ask my son to talk to his wife and let her know of your concerns, that's just me! Or talk to your daughter-in-law yourself.
