I'm good with advice, but if there's no solution to a problem all I ever have is a hug. But usually this is all they really need.

Usually I say the right things. Most the time I just sit and listen to whoever is sad. They don't really need anyone preaching to them but instead a shoulder to cry on and someone to listen.

I'm, umm I mean, sometimes, but not always, well no nevermind, actually, ok I'm always awkward.

Sometimes it's best to not say anything at all and just be there.

I don't make any choices in sad times. That gets you into trouble.

In that sort of situation I don't think there really is a right thing to say. Just be there and be available.

It depends. Usually I know the right thing to say, but find that it is more helpful to just be there for people.

Sometimes the less said is better in times of sadness. Just by having our presence there for our friends means so much to them.:)

I usually will ask for the change from the toll booth or let them know that my left ear sticks out more than the right.
