  • I don't think so. An innate talent may exist in the person but the choice to turn that particular talent into a career is a choice the person consciously makes.
  • we all have certain innate skills which would make us better suited to a particular career. but we can choose to follow other paths and also do quite well. for instance, an artistic person may be happy working in accounting, and create pottery as a hobby. peace.
  • To a certain extent. We all have natural talents that can help decide the path in life... but those talents can often be used for a number of things. Someone born with the ability to write may become an editor instead, or a teacher, etc.
  • I believe you can inherit a propensity toward something. Perhaps your parents are gifted musicians..you may be very musical as well. Or your parents are writers..so you grow up being surrounded by books, other authors, libraries, bookstores, discussions about books..you soak it up, so to speak and it may come out later...nature vs nurture..genes vs environment. You pays your money and makes you choice. Happy Saturday! :)
  • Not necessarily. There are certain people who have a predisposition to a certain field/career but not all do. Some people don't ever have an inclination for anything and the majority just end up following a path that has nothing to do with a 'natural calling'
  • everyone has inherent traits that make them better at certain things. you just have to discover yourself and not fight it :)
  • You are getting into the nature VS nurture debate. All depends on your point of view!
