Professional articles written YEARS ago for Better Homes & Gardens, Traditional Home, Architectural Digest, Equine, and other magazines. They were all related to art and investing in it, capital gains & losses, sdisposing of it or liquidating your collection, how to spot fakes, and that kind of thing. The pay was crappy and the hours were long. Which is why I would not do it again, even though it is fun for a while to see your name in print nationally or internationally as I recall. It's been 20 years since I did it.

I wrote a poem and submitted it to a poetry contest..it was featured in a book. all though I think it was a fake because they kept bothering me about buying their crap. and it got rather annoying after the first couple thousand letters and emails.

Depends on what you mean by published. I wrote, and composed, and taught my schools choir, a graduation song. It was put in the year book, and on the graduation forms given to all guests.

I've had lots of things published over the years. I write stories, poetry and articles. Currently, I have my own fan magazines about "Beauty and the Beast" -- not the fairytale or the Walt Disney movie version, but the series that took place back in the '80's, starring Ron Perlman and Linda Hamilton, about a half-man, half lion that lived in the underground tunnels of New York City, who had a quasi-romance with a socialite attorney. When the series ended due to low ratings, I discovered there was a fan club. Many of the fans were so devastated at the abrupt ending of their favorite TV program, they started writing their own episodes, extrapolating on what could have transpired. That TV series brought out the creativity of the fans -- artists, writers, musicians, etc. I became one of the writers and produced what we called "fanzines", anthologies or collections of stories and poems about the series. After 20 years, the fan clubs are still going strong, and we have conventions every summer where fans gather to reminisce and socialize with one another. Currently, I am also a journalist and contribute freelance articles to a weekly religious newspaper.
