I have two parrots and want to get a couple of rescue dogs. I want at all costs to avoid injury to my birds and suspect that some breeds of dog may be less reliable and react badly to a bird flying round the room. Your comments would be appreciated.

You're reading My 14 y/o female African Gray (Congo) ALWAYS plucks all of her red tail feathers. She has never allowed them to stay grown out. Vet says this is ok but she is so pretty with them.. any suggestions on why? They are so pretty but she is not having it.

Thanks! ><
I will check out the forums. She has done this for many years. Her diet is good if I could keep people from feeding her human food so much.. she is spoiled and gets a lot of attention but maybe I am doing something wrong with her.. I will look more online. Thanks again.

LOL Mine eat alot of human food too. I dont think spoiling her has any bearing on her plucking. Maybe its just a habit, and a bad one at that LOL
