Yep!
yes
nobody ever really owns their home. if you don't believe me, stop paying property tax and see how long you can stay in your home.
I wish.
But I have in the past.
Yes.
yes, I even own the termites and fire ants.
Not yet...ask me again in about 15 years...man.
Yes, paid it off early for several good reasons. At top of list is that I live in Florida and have legally protected myself against lawsuits. In this state, a home or car cannot be taken to satisfy debts, and neither can annuity income securities.
Second top reason was that I assumed that I could use the amount I was making in interest and principal could be put to better use. It's best to be debt free.
I have never been wealthy but save 10% of whatever I make; pay off all credit card charges each month, never carrying a balance just to avoid paying heavy interest; charities get another 10%; and I live an travel pretty well on the rest of my income, which some higher income individuals may consider to be rather meager.
(Started doing that many years ago when I made minimum federal wage.)
Yes along with the yard and garage too.
Man, I wish! My parents and in-laws each own theirs, though.
Yes, a cash deal : )
