  • move out and live in your van. pay off your debts as soon as possible. dont get behind in your credit cards.
  • prepare a gameplan and see what needs to be adressed first and start workin on it. see what things you can do without for a while and really just anyways you can find to spare some extra cash. i would also communicate with the people you owe and let them know you are aware that your behind but your workin on it. you will be suprised how far a little communication goes.
  • Begin by sitting down with some paper and writing out your income and your expenses. Next decide which of your expenses you can do without. Next cut that out and switch the savings to the rent and utilities. If you are behind on the utilities call the company and get on a payment plan and stick to it. Eat out less and cut out some purchases that are not necessary and move that money to rent and utilities.
  • Pay only what is nessesary to live, cancel everything else. Pack your lunch, use public transport, raise your insurance deductable on your car to $1000. Keep ALL recepts and at the end of each month add them up. It is a far easier to spend less than to make more. You can do it, let me know if you need more help.
  • Cut out everything you don't need to survive first. Ditch the cell phone, the internet, cable TV, magazine and newspaper subscriptions, satellite radio, etc. Get a crock pot and put a simple inexpensive meal in it every night. Keep it in the refrigerator overnight and drop it in the base and turn it on in the morning. Stay out of fast food places and restaraunts of any kind. Whatever you eat for supper, put the leftovers in a Gladware bowl and take it to work for lunch the next day. If there is public transportation to your work, or to within walking distance of your work, consider selling your car. Pay your rent first. Then the car (if you keep it). Then pay credit cards. If you can't pay the whole amount, make sure you send at least a partial payment. Make sure that all your creditors know the situation and that you are making a good faith effort to pay everyone. Do not default if you can do it without starving.
