You buy that good used car you’ve been looking for, only to smell evidence of cigarette smoke. The previous driver smoked in the vehicle, so how do you clean out the smoke smell? If you can’t, how will a detailer clean it out?

assuming you don't have some sort of super-sniffer that will smell the slightest hint of smoke that a dog would have a hard time smelling, vacuum plenty or use a carpet/upholstery cleaner, and plenty of air freshner for a while. the previous owner of my car smoked; we used those^^^things, and it doesn't smell like smoke anymore.

I went to a smoking cessation "rehab" where they offered to have your car detailed to get the smell out. I never smoked in my car (it was a very special car to me), but I had it detailed anyway.
