It means I get presents and have to give presents....also I have to put up with a bunch of other people claiming that Christmas is about things that it really is not...

This is what it means to me:

    Its Christmas time....
we wrap up our gifts, put the bows so lovingly on them.
We think about Jesus and how He came in to this world.
    The birth of the messiah.
we sing the carols and stand awed at the birth of our savior.

This Christmas....I stand remembering why He came...not for some pretty song for us to sing.
Not for the goosebumps the Holy Spirit brings...not even really thinking about the life He lived.
He came for the discarded, the cast aways, the ones in darkness...He came for me, as a drug addict, dealer, discarded, unworthy, unlovable....unfaithful.
For God sent not the Son into the world to judge the world; but that the world should be saved through him.
That is the reason for His birth.
In the pit, in the slim, the garbage I wallow in...He came to get me out....if only I wasn't such a dog, and would stay out!
He came to die, He came for a purpose.
My sin on His mind. My face He saw.

    Behind His birth one purpose...
left the throne, for one reason....
    for fame on this earth?
    for notarization, and recognition?
that He would have His name in lights?
    ....He came just to die.
    just to pay the debt.
just to say "it is finished"

As a Christian, Christmas means a lot to me because it was the day some more than 2000 years my Savior and Lord Jesus Christ condescended to be a man in order to die for my sins. So Christmas would always be a special day for me to reflect upon His unconditional love, sufficient grace and unwarranted mercy which is new every morning.

It is stressful because it means racing around, spending money we dont have to give gifts and cards to people we dont really like (family mostly lol) and then we spend hours socializing and pretending to care what so many people have to complain about, or brag about. Next thing it's over and we are broke! The best part, is watching children open their gifts from Santa, and that is worth its weight in gold.

Of course, Christmas is a time for family. Remembering good times & the people that are no longer here that made them good & to making more with the loved one's that are still here. I always look fwd to experiencing the holidays with my son, decorating the tree, hanging lights, seeing his little face light up as he opens his presents, & of course celebrating the birth of our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ

Well that It is complicated. When I was a kid, Christmas was filled with Christmas carols, decorations, Christmas movies, presents, and all those stuffs. My parents used to decorate the Christmas tree with all soughts of candy, that was really nice. However, over the years, as my sister and I have grown older, I guess you could say that we have kinda lost our Christmas spirit. Its now November and we don't have any Christmassy thing up.

However, while I have lost my holiday cheer, the true meaning of Christmas, Jesus Christ, is more meaningful to me now more than ever, in that sense, Christmas means a whole lot more to me now.

Christmas has become a quiet time for us. We usually just have a nice quiet dinner together, maybe with a few friends...and we generally buy something we really need in lieu of an actual present...like a new duvet or something...but we still do stocking stuffers. I think the older I get the more I remember my childhood memories of Christmas--those are important to me.

Yup. It means family and friends, and a time of year you try to be just a little bit nicer, friendlier and more considerate. It means eggnog and wonderful home-baked goodness. It means watching my nieces wow in wonder about Santa, elves, flying reindeer, talking snowmen, and the magic of the season. I don’t care if you’re Christian, Jewish, atheist or otherwise, I’ll wish you a Merry Christmas with a smile and I’ll mean it. If you’re Jewish, I would expect you to wish me a Happy Hanukah in return with a smile, and mean it, and I would say “thank you”. I also love the commercialism of Christmas. The lights, the tree, the wrapping paper, candied treats, Christmas music, holly wreaths, watching Scrooged, and stockings hung by the chimney. It’s one time of the year I get to feel like a kid again… and for that I will forever love Christmas time.

It only means something to me if I can be around the people that I care for.. it's my favourite part of Christmas even though I am not a Christian. Sadly, I don't really get a chance to bond enough with my family unless it is around the holidays..
