How is it that I can keep three kids growing healthy and strong, but I can't keep a plant alive for more than three months?

Cats, Dogs, Plants and Children. All these need a Healthy Medium to grow and flourish to be healthy. your great at raising Children so if you become aquainted with the meduim a plant needs you will be sucessful. Like a child a plant needs a healthy environment to grow; Soil- some grainyness and not the crap potting soil from the corner store- get it at a Plant nursey, it's called "Potting Soil" and the bag feels heavy for its size so look and make sure it has "Sand" in there someplace. To operate on a person you have to calm them, a plant you put in a dark place before re-potting after purchasing(Allways do this Immedietly!)as the soil it comes in is Crap! pack it lightly in its new soil and water till it comes out of the bottom and then call it your "Child"- Daily inspections, care and feeding and you should be OK.

Kids only require fertilizer at conception. Plants need it all the time with water to wash it down.

Kids let you know when they're hungry, thirsty, tired, feeling crappy (in whatever way fits the situation) or just lonely. A plant quietly withers in the corner, unpresumptuously letting life slip away.

Hehehe... Don't worry. On a good note, plants are cheap and don't moan as they die.

Because those little bastard plants need discipline too and make sure when putting in the naughty corner that you open the blinds.........................
