Yes I do believe in random acts of kindness, My wife and I one time had a rather large sum of money saved back and we knew of a couple who were having financial problems and it was around this time of year. They have 4 children and he was without work. So my wife and I just GAVE them $3500.00 to help them with their bills and to get christmas for their family. We didn't loan them the money we just gave it to them. We did not do this in front of their children we took them out to eat and that is when we gave it to them. As we felt that the children did not need to know what was going on. We didn't even tell our kids. Since then through random acts of kindness my wife and I have been blessed beyond our wildest dreams. We have a good home, good health, our kids are making good grades in school, our bills are paid. While at the time we done this we were not sure we were doing the right thing, Time has proven to us that we done exactly what at the time we were supposed to do. We still do acts of kindness to this day when we are moved in our hearts to do so.

I have been on the giving and receiving end and in both cases it brings the best feeling in the world. :) For a small example recently, I was lost and I asked a someone if they knew where X was; but he didn't know. Even so, this man took some time to find the way and then guided me right to the door. A total stranger. So kind.
