I think in society today its the amount of money you make that says you are smart. Oprah, Bill Gates I don't necessarily agree with this however. I think the smartest people would have a higher level of subjective well being...in other words happiness.

In my opinion, smart is not the same as intelligent, although they can be similar. A smart person can use his or her intelligence, but being smart can also relate to wittiness, being cunning, taking advantage of a certain situation, being practical, etc. For example, there can be smart persons who choose to surround themselves with others that can be equally or more intelligent than them, because it helps them, be it in the business sense, friendship, etc. So if we measure intelligence by I.Q., I don't think Bill Gates is necessarily the most intelligent person in Microsoft or The Donald the most intelligent one in the Trump organization, but they're damn smart.
