Why does the world bother with all those different time zones ? why not make it, say Greenwich time everywhere?

time is done by the sun. and im sure your aware the sun rises and falls at different times through the world. its also the reason why we move the clocks back and forward in winter so farmers can get an extra hour of sunlight in the morning.
