  • Simple, gender roles make society congradulate the guy who does it and look down upon the girl who does it. However I'm a guy who belives in celibacy til marriage for everyone. (Including myself and I practice it). So I personally find it offensive if someone calls me a pimp or a stud.
  • It is because of society. I feel we are taught that women are the ones with everything to lose when it comes to sexual relationships. If a girl gets pregnant, it is her that must deal with it. Even if the guy is there to stand by her, what really does it do to the guy? Nothing. So when a girl has a lot of partners, she is labeled negatively and the guys are not. I think it is the parents of the males who need to instill in them the importance of self-respect and respect of the opposite sex. Especially the father, if he has the opinion that if his boy has many women and that that is a good thing, he is to blame for that philosophy which he has passed to his child and that his son will probably pass to his children.
  • guys and there ego's......a man probaly invented the word PIMP....so lets from now on call those cheating men BASTARDS :)
  • Because our socity still has some very real double standards that we need to over come. Not by removing the stigma of sleeping around, but by making it just as bad for boys as it is for girls. And making the guys just as responsable for the aftermath of stupid sex. We need to start teaching our children that promiscuity is not a sign of sexual sophistacation, but of lack of self respect and self control. And that the true Badge of a Man is not in how many women he beds, the size of his porn collection, or how many strippers know his name, but in how he treats his partner. And we need to teach the girl that she's not doing herself any favors with sleeping around and other seemingly sexy and exciting behaviours. Her Badge of Honour should be her devotion to her partner.
  • It called a double standard.
  • It doesnt make any difference, both terms refer to equally morally decadent people.
  • It doesn't make sense, I know, but all I can say is guys are guys, and girls are girls.
  • It's definitely a double standard, but may have to do with the marriage quality. A "slut" wife is more likely to cheat and get pregnant with another man's child. A "pimp" has basically proven his ability to seduce numerous women and might be a good breed. I don't know if such husbands are more likely to cheat or not.
  • Ditto on "Think-About-It"'s answer!
  • Male slut is what I've heard men called. I don't think they've come up with "the term" for guys that that really sticks.
  • You can file that under: Tough titty said the kitty. Why are men who are nurturing looked at as weak? Double standards everywhere. That's just the way it is. Not everything balances out perfectly in this life. Answer originally from: Why are men looked at as more manly when they sleep with a lot of women but if a woman does the same thing she is considered a whore? Which was originally from: Why is it that if a woman has sex with a lot of guys she is considered a slut, but if guys sleep with a lot of girls, he is the man?
  • a man is called "Stud", not pimp...
  • MEN ARE SLUTS TOO!!!
  • My understanding of the term pimp, is a person , normally male, who seeks out clients for prostitutes and generally takes part of the fee. I am not sure how that comes into to women being sluts unless you are referring to the prostitutes as sluts.
  • Same reason if a real war pops off and they institue a draft women will be at home and will be ducking shots in Iraq or where ever war is. Called life deal with it double standards are going to be here for atleast our lifetime.
  • What's the difference? A pimp and a slut are the same thing to me. Just one is a girl and one is a guy. I don't think a pimp is cooler than a slut and I don't think a slut is cooler than a pimp. They both whore out their bodies to people.
