Dear Friend ---- sorry to hear that you are having difficulty with your case. First of all, it is not your husbands company that is causing the delay, rather it is the workers comp carrier. Once a report is filed with the employer, it is turned over to the workers comp carrier, and the employer is eliminated from the equation. What you might consider is calling the carrier direct and asking what the delay is, and write down what they say, time and date, and name of person. Next call your husbands doctor, and see what reports if any have been sent to the workers comp. carrier, and what was the indicated prognosis. Once you get this information, please contact a local attorney who specializes in workers comp to represent you. On workers comp. cases, most attorneys work on a percentage basis so the initial consult and followup activity should not cost you anything upfront. You will also find out if you really do have a case, and if so, you may be in line to recieve greater dollars than initially thought. This is a very complex situation (workers comp.) so dont cut yourself short. Good luck to you and your husband
