When I say education, what does it actually refer to- studies, knowledge, learning, or the process?

it depends on the context. but id say the process cause usual when people are talking about eduction there talking about schooling issues.

I will tell you what it means to me, without having looked it up in the dictionary. Education can occur in a formal setting, like school for example. It can also occur on a daily basis at home, work, wherever. Education consists of learning something new..something you didn't know before..It can come through books, experience, observation. It is never-ending..there is no point at which you say "I am now educated..I need learn no more". You can seek it or it seeks you. You simply have to be aware, open and curious. Happy Wednesday! :)
