http://galileo.phys.virginia.edu/outreach/8thGradeSOL/CurvedMirrorsFrm.htm ok,if you look on the link, you'll see a convex surface (the bit of the spoon that curves outwards) relfects light the right way up, but disperses it outwards, so you nose looks huge (don't worry, it probably isn't). On the concave mirror, like the bit of the spoon that curves inwards, the light rays are reflected so that they cross over and end up upside down, so the relfection appears upside down.
