When someone is reassigned off a job for “not getting the ‘full grasp,’” what does that mean? Could anyone please clarify the term “not getting the ‘full grasp’” of a job?

I think the employer is simply using that as a nice was to say you are incompetent and incapable of doing the job.

It means that you didn't fully understand the functions and responsibilities of the job.

To me , that would mean, not fully understanding, or being able to comprehend. It could just be an excuse to get rid of someone though... How ya doin tonight?

That employer maybe felt they werent competent enough. Or maybe had problems adjusting to the work environment, conditions, people etc.

not understanding the full concept of whatever it is they are dealing with..resembling not having a full grip on something that may get away on you....you need the full grip...you need the full concept....

Being a manager I can tell you it's a nice way of telling 'your not a good employee and I have to replace you before I have to answer for your incompetence' Don't take this personal though, in the professional world all ppl are not created equal, some ppl shouldn't do certain things. If your giving $300k mortgages to ppl making $40k per year, you not getting the full grasp and should not be doing that job, if you were reassigned, someone is giving you a chance to fit in somewhere else in the company. take it as a second chance, I usually end up firing ppl in the situation.
