In an emergency you could use wetting or multi solution, but saline is best if you're just trying to flush or moisten your eyes. Don't use a soaking or cleaning solution - that would sting (and isn't good for the membranes).

No, don't use the stuff you use to soak your contacts in overnight. There are special eye drops you can buy at any drugstore that are specially for contact lens wearers.
