Ladies:When it comes to makeup, do you prefer the emphasis to be on the lips or eyes?

Usually for me, it's the eye. The eye w/ or w/o make up makes different impressions so, i prefer to emphasis on eyes.

Lips; I think they're my best feature and hardly ever wear eye makeup anyway because I wear glasses.

Eyes, it's a good way to get people to look at you when they're talking, so you can get a better feel of what they're saying. Plus, if I were to emphasize the lips, then people would notice my goddamn buckteeth choppers. O_o >_>

Not a makeup girl, everyday, except lipgloss to help moisten and prevent chappage. I think it's dependent on the features of the individual, which should be played up. I think both of these are pretty good on me, so if I dress up, I do both.

I'd say eyes. I USUALLY go for a pretty natural look, but being a natural red head my eyelashes are invisible... So mascara is one thing I can't live without. (More recently, I found I can look good in deep red lipstick... Something I didn't think possible.)

I think it really depends on your age, and of course your features. Younger girls should always go for what I call" the face pussy" and yes that is the lips. Young women 18-30 should wear lipstick and gloss that plays up this feature. Women who are a bit older should concentrate on their eyes, and work with a nude lip color.

I've always emphasized my eyes. They are big and brown. I only wear chapstick on my lips, I feel like a clown if I put lipstick on them.

Definitely Eyes. When you talk to people they usually look you in the eyes, so dressing them up (without going overboard) is nice.

I like lips, usually. I don't tend to bother with my eyes, because mine can't really take much make up. Sometimes I do the eyeliner thing, but only if I'm going out. I look sleepy, really easily it's just the way my eyes are. And my eyelashes are black anyway, so I'm okay.

For me, I like to emphasize my eyes because they are my best feature. But for someone whose lips are their best feature, the lips should be emphasized.

I'm usually not a makeup girl. I hardly ever wear any. But I focus on my lips, which are nicer than my eyes. I like to wear shimmery pink and lots of gloss so my lips look puffy and pretty. My sister has better eyes than I do (they're almond-shaped). But she has thin lips.

I used to put emphasis on my eyes but don't wear eye make up at all anymore. I like to wear red lipstick most of the time though. My hair is 100% platinum as far as I can tell. It went silver early and I've colored it off and on. Having 30+ inches of platinum hair with red lipstick is probably all the makeup I need!

well, i have both big eyes and big lips...but for me, eyes are always more fun. for lips, i stick to just a clear or light pink gloss. :)

Remember this one, the eyes don't lie, but the lips can. A persons eyes are a try indication of how they really feel about something. You can fix your lips to say anything. So put the emphasis on the eyes.

Well as a make up artist the emphasis should be eyes and lips should always be tame. But if lips are the emphasis then eyes should less . Cant have both trends are less is more.Unless your a super model i would not go make eyes brighter then my lips or lips brighter eyes should be less .

I am always an eye person, that's where I love all the emphasis to be. However, one rule of thumb with make up is to always only emphasize one or the other, never both at the same time!

well the rule is that if your going to wear alot of eyemakeup dont wear much lip makeup, and if your going to wear alot of lip makeup dont wear alot of eyemakeup, but i prefer to emphasise my eyes

I like to do both but not at the same time. If I focus on my eyes,I only line my lips with a natural lip colored liner and light gloss. If I put color on my lips I will go natural on the eye. Makeup should only bring out your beauty,not mask it!

I would definitely have to go with the eyes. Simply think about it in a cartoonish way ...would you'd rather see a cartoon without a mouth or without eyes. I think a cartoon without a mouth still has a chance to look cute while the other way around is simply freaky. If you ever comparing something just exaggerate it, makes it easier to see the differences.

I'm asian and don't really like my eyes too much because I've always been made fun of since a kid and my eyes are hard to put make-up on since my eyes are not as deep-set as other people. I do have natural double eyelids though so it's not that bad but I still don't like them much. On the other hand, I also have very full lips that I've also been made fun of for (by the same girl since childhood. Slowly getting over it...) So, it's kind of half/half. If it's an evening look, I like to put more emphasis on my lips since evening looks allow for heavier make-up and darker colors but if it's a daytime look, I tend to put more emphasis on my eyes and just put a little bit of gloss on.
