Yes and the people who could do something about do not give a sheeeeet.

No, I did not

Yes and this should now be more of our concern. If this situation continues to be unresolved, unabated,we would also be on the list soon enough.Poaching, Deforestation,Urbanization, Erosion, Pollution and Global warmings are the ingredients that adds up to create the Lost of their natural habitat is the main reason for this sad extinction.

How silly of a question! You completely neglected to mention the time frame, and that omission makes it absolutely pointless. *Every* mammal faces extinction eventually. I seriously doubt there can be any reasonable case made to claim that any mammals could avoid extinction between any point in time when they do exist, an another point in time, lets say 763 trillion years from then. If it was true that one in four mammals are facing extinction within a week, that could certainly be cause for concern. If one in four mammals are facing extinction in a million years, then *yawn*.

I knew that amphibians were in serious trouble, but I did not know the numbers were so high for mammals.

Well; quit using so much toilet paper!

I personally take more than one side on this issue. As stated elsewhere mammals facing extinction in thousands or millions of years as a natural process which has been going on ever since life first started...is no big deal. Mammals facing extinction in only a few more generations (because of) mankind's thoughtlessness BIG problem! As a side note, it does bother me that the rain forest's are being depleted and raped. Many life saving drugs/medications are attributed to the rain forest and it's inhabitants.

That stinks, got a reference? can i be your friend?

Just to play devils advocate, So what? 99.9% of species that have lived on earth are extinct. Creatures either addapt or die. Why should it be any different now that we're here?
-
Oh yes. We are in the middle of the next big species extinction.
