Watched from the beginning, when the former D.A. on Law and Order (Stephan Mc Hattie???) was to guy taking the assignments to the end. Loved Cinnaman Carter. It was a little weird when Leonard Nimoy joined the cast--could not get Mr Spock out of my mind.

Way better than the movies, which were just run of the mill 'formula' slam bang action flix. TV was suspense drama with plots so intricate even viewers couldn't figure out. Have the bad guys stumbled across the plan? Or was that the plan all along? Martin Landau has seconds to pull the rubber nose off, Barney has even less time to splice the transmogrifier into the phone line while trying to blink the sweat out of his eyes. All evil Communazi dictators look like Landou or Spock. " This tape will self destruct in the USUAL way," there were dozens of usual ways. I alluz wanted some teen ager to find a tape and play it in his GTO- "Aieee, the dash is on fire! Nice beat tho, I give it a nine." In an effort to alter time and allow Star Fleet to come into existance, Scotty beams Spock down to replace Landau (Rollin Hand) who goes into future time and space with Cinnamon, cause the moon has been (will be?) blown out of orbit. (I figure that whole Star Trek-Space 1999 thing was a MI plot in itself.) Roll in Hand? Briggs, who rarely went on a mission, no fool he, is replaced by Mr Phelps, who does go on missions but still has time to return to his ranch and mourn over Fury's grave. Sometimes you'd get to see pics of people who weren't picked for the mission, wonder how much those actor/models got paid? " Hey, did ya see me on TV last night? I was on MI for 3 seconds." Great theme song; Bum bum...bum bum...bumedy bum.
