such a funny question in my mind, because my bike at the beach, had a nasty, males, hard seat on it, I couldnt ride it for long without being very sore !!! :(, so I refused to get on it , until a new seat had been brought for it, a lovely soft, fat seat, and now I just love exploring on it !! its great:)

Hey Jubeedoobydoo! Bikes, even ones you get from good stores, come with cheap wheels, tires, gears & derailleurs, & seats. When I was active w/ the local bike club I got a gel-padded seat, although not too many people did that. I think, aside from just being hard, it was at least as much because I'm 6'4" and my sit-bones are wider than average, so a "normal" seat was just too narrow. For a guy, worse than a hard seat is a too-narrow or tilted-too-far-back seat, which puts pressure on the prostate and can cause lasting numbness, yeesh.

It depends, when im going up hill its hard, but down hill its not so bad! same as my breathing really!ha ha!

So hard after 30 minutes my ass is bruised... makes riding home after work a little painful....
