  • I doubt they will go unnoticed. My husband is in the Army, and he says during basic training they had absolutely no privacy. And, when you get there, the first thing you do is go through a huge physical exam. I wouldn't start basic off by trying to break a rule. All that aside, you're going to be doing lots of exercising and sweating and getting dirty. I doubt you'd even want them in. Basic for the Air Force is what, 6 weeks? I doubt they'll heal up in that amount of time, and you could always get them redone later anyways. I took mine out for a year, during my last pregnancy and to nurse, and had no problem getting them back in. And good luck!
  • Why join the Air Force unless you're willing to abide by the rules and policies set forth? To answer your question, no, you will probably not get away with it being that you'll be very physical and under constant scrutiny.
  • Dang, I would be scared to wear them in basic training because of all the physical activity you will be doing. Those rings may be ripped right off! I wouldn't chance it. I like my nipples undamaged!
  • Let me see , I'll tell you
  • No, Those are not part of AFR 35-10, so NO!!!!! Leave them at home. Remember, at Lackland, you want to go UNNOTICED. Attention is a BAD thing in BMTS... Aim High!
  • Now for the correct answer. My military experience taught me ONE thing. It's easier to ask forgiveness than to ask permission. If you want it... do it! If you're concerned about healing up... get less noticeable "studs" to keep the holes open. OR Heavy gauge fishing line can be rigged and is undetectable. If you break the rules... sometimes you'll pay. When you beat the system, it's the MOST gratifying free feeling. Isn't that why you're willing to die in military service? For freedoms to enjoy? Screw the martinets!
  • Not recommended. However you could keep a set of posts in your pockets to insert into them when it's time to put a shirt on after showering. Be sure to learn how to insert and remove them double quick. during basic you're gonna be part of a team. Buddies don't rat each other out.
