  • LOL...no but it would make a great defense if you didnt...;)
  • Only if you are willing to risk the penalties. As we say in the Army "Do what your rank can handle." In other words if you can take whatever the law hits you with for not paying on time go for it. Otherwise, it would be best to pay the ticket and forget it.
  • Find out if you can do that. Speak with an informed person(Attorney) and then grow old without getting a ticket WOOT.
  • You ever made a mistake? We all do. You know its an honest mistake and your citation is still very valid. Don't ignore it.
  • Most courts will issue you a reminder notice and the date will probably be fixed on that document. However you might fight the ticket by questiong the rest of the ticket. Like if he also transposed the numbers on the plate for instance. Depending on the judge, you MIGHT be able to weasle your way out. Judges hate technicalities, but will enforce them.
  • I am the person who posted the original question. I was ticketed with possession of alcohol as a minor. In CT that means when i pay the fine i will have my license taken away for 1 month. NO.. i wasnt driving with alcohol. I was at a private party that got raided..
  • Only if you are looking to have a warrant put out for your arrest. Once arrested you could probably avoid any additional fees on the basis of the error, but that would not get you out of the original charge. Thus, you would still get your license suspended and also have to spend a night (or a couple rights) in jail.
