It depends where I'm sleeping. If I'm away at school, and wake up in the middle of the night, I probably hear drunk kids shouting and hooting, or cars going by. Or on weeknights when there are classes the next day, dead silence. Everyone loves sleep

Me pooping or peeing in the toilet.

Her gentle breathing as she sleeps beside me...ahh bliss.

Floorboards creaking, my mom's tv, my cat acting like a nut, the sound of me silently freaking out. Any little sound at night scares me because I think too much.

Nothing i live in the country.
-
Occasional car and motor bike, sometimes a snore.
-
My girlfriend snoring, the train passing by, the sound of sirens, cars going by, etc. The city sure is noisy sometimes!
-
The wonderful sound of silence.

Husband snoring, cats moving, maybe the wind or rain outside. And often the woods are alive and I hear owls or rustling, water splashing at times. If it's early spring and the birds are really active, I'll hear hundreds of them starting at about 3:30 or 4 am. It's wonderful to hear. I like to leave our door to the balcony open so I can hear it all, even sleeping outside just to hear more:-)
-
The train, trucks, and buses that actually make my house shake a bit, lol.
