    I believe you have to get a new one. If you're going to switch, may I recommend gmail instead of hotmail. It has many advantages.

    Get a new hotmail account and set up a redirection of all mail from your old email account from settings. Simple.:)

    I don't think you can change it. Create a new one and don't use the old one. If your account is inactive MSN will delete it.
