Yes, all natural tobacco is less harmful than refined tobacco.

Athrael - Of course all smoke is bad. The question is is which is worse.

Pot is the least harmful (contains the least amount of tar), then tobacco, and then 'tailor' cigarette tobacco (which is most harmful because of additives).

Tobacco companies were the first to learn about and understand additives. Tobacco companies learned they could make plenty of money helping food companies add flavorings, preservatives, conditioners, and many other things to make food better. Some tobaccos and foods became safer, more digestible, enjoyable, and sometimes the opposite happens. The wrong side of some processed foods has caused many tummy aches. It is important to learn about anything we put into our bodies, and natural foods can also be really unhealthy too. Natural foods lacking preservatives also rot faster, taste stale quicker, are more likely to carry some germs, and stores know this so they work harder to solve the problems other ways.

All the States and Federal governments want to regulate, tax, outlaw, and respond to malcontents about everything people ingest into their bodies. Some people hate fast food, the oils in fast food, and want to outlaw that food, or at least bring a lawsuit to make lawyers wealthy. How about a soda pop tax? It is easy to see that over regulation, taxes, and prohibitions, are going to cause really expensive nightmares, or even deaths to consumers. Powerful anti tobacco hate is frequently found in newspapers. These tobacco people aren't allowed to advertise to clear their reputations. If anything good about tobacco was true, we would never know that. Tobacco companies are tax payers too, and is this the kind of treatment they should get?

I stopped smoking major brands and went to all natural in my stop smoking process. Yes natural tobacco is less harmful simply because it has "less" harmful ingredients. Here is some of what all natural tobacco doesn't have. And by the way the drying process has changed significantly over the years.

Perhaps this list of ingredients that are found in cigarettes is enough to make you want to quit smoking for good!

There are more than 4,000 ingredients in a cigarette other than tobacco, here are some 'other' ingredients:

    Ammonia: Household cleaner
Angelica root extract: Known to cause cancer in animals
    Arsenic: Used in rat poisons
Benzene: Used in making dyes, synthetic rubber
Butane: Gas; used in lighter fluid
    Carbon monoxide: Poisonous gas
    Cadmium: Used in batteries
    Cyanide: Deadly poison
    DDT: A banned insecticide
Ethyl Furoate: Causes liver damage in animals
    Lead: Poisonous in high doses
Formaldehiyde: Used to preserve dead specimens
    Methoprene: Insecticide
Megastigmatrienone: Chemical naturally found in grapefruit juice
    Maltitol: Sweetener for diabetics
    Napthalene: Ingredient in mothballs
Methyl isocyanate: Its accidental release killed 2000 people in Bhopal, India in 1984
    Polonium: Cancer-causing radioactive element

There is no such thing as a "harmless cigarette." The harmful chemicals and carcinogens are naturally present in the tobacco leaves, before harvest. The tobacco production process hasn't changed much over the last 500 years. Grow the plant, dry the leaves, and package it. "All Natural" tobacco sounds like a scam to get people to pay more for tobacco that isn't flavored with menthol.

Smoke - any smoke - be it natural tobacco, be it pot, be it from a tire fire is bad for you.

Its smoke inhalation. Granted not as bad as sitting around in a smoke filled room just smoking one cigarette - however a life long of smoking is far worse than sitting around in one smoke filled burning structure.
