they will see parts of you.. as you wear the backless gowns but they will do everything they can to protect your modesty. The only way they would see you naked is if they were assisting u with a shower or in dressing you or if you were having an exam (pap smear) or maybe surgery. 99% of the time they will only reveal the part of the body that is necessary to see.. injured knee, backside, belly, chest, etc. they will never come in and just throw down the covers and strip off the clothes UNLESS you are in a trauma and they have no choice..life and death..then they will immediately cover you up. Does that help. Also know that nurses are used to males getting "erections" when they are being touched "down there" and they are trained to know how to handle it..most will just stop and step out of the room until you are done and then resume. It's no big deal. I use to do that and it happens all the time. If you have any questions, feel free to ask

I'm not modest - so when the nurse says strip - well half my cloths are off before she leaves the door. There are times where they will say 'strip' meaning all the way (yes socks too) however more often than not you will be given one of those wonderful backless robes. On the operating table they tend to cover you up with sterile blankets - except the place they are cutting into say if they are doing your belly, then your chest and legs and private parts are all nicely hidden from view. This not only keeps the environment more sterile, it also helps to keep your temperature steady not too hot, not too cold - just right. None of my doctors have seen me totally naked - They have seen bits and pieces - especially during the yearly physical testicular exam and - oh wait until your 40 - your yearly will include a finger up your butt - think your modest now..... Prostate gland exams are 'fun, fun, fun' LOL

If you are rushed in for an emergency, usually the first thing paramedics do is cut any clothing that may be restricting bloodflow or blocking access. If they don't cut it off, the people receiving you in the emergency room may still do it for the same reasons. Remember these people are professionals and don't particularly care about your nudity. What they are most concerned with is treating you as fast and effectively as possible.

Been there, done that. The thing to keep telling yourself is "they've seen it ALL before"... from children to old men... They've helped males and females go to the bathroom, cleaned up after them (there and in bed), given people spongebaths, changed their sheets and gowns/clothing, etc. when they can't themselves. They've seen 'em big, small, shaved, hairy, clean, dirty, bloody, messy, and every damn way you can think of. And, if they haven't, they WILL before long. I guess the first time I figured it didn't matter was when I apparently had an accident (#1) while I was completely out in the operating room. I woke up with a different gown and sheets. It was NOTHING to them. I'm sure they've had people who ATE when they weren't supposed to and defecated on the table. They just do whatever's necessary. The last time was when I was in a rehab hospital and COULDN'T get into the bathroom if I tried. You do what you have to do, just as they do, if you catch my meaning. This is one of the reasons I don't believe that many nurses are paid enough. Don't worry about it. It's not often they see anything unique. And when they do, they will most-likely try everything they can to NOT embarrass you. ;-)

had a friend stripped completely naked by paramedic after an accident. So if they have to they will cut off your clothes.

You would think they might attempt to help your modesty by having same-sex attendants do any stripping and observations, but they don't. Your modesty and dignity means nothing to them. They can easily do some things different to help keep your dignity but they hardly ever do. You are just an unfeeling object to most of them.

If ANYONE tried stripping my clothes off they would get a bloody nose. Male or female. I would rather die than have that happen. Just try it perverts, I dare you!
