He doesn't have to. All things are under His domain. Even Atheism. Just because the Path a child of His is following leads away from His worship doesn't mean they are no longer His child. God isn't so nearly as jealous and angry as people like you make him out to be. God didn't create mankind to go around like little automatons worshiping and praising Him. I don't think He was THAT lonely that He had to create us for that purpose. Like I said before, I'd be careful about going around pretending to speak for Him. He'll probably forgive you for taking His Name in vain and misleading His children as you are doing, but I'd still be wary, nevertheless.

Why wouldn't He? He is all-loving, isn't he?

Who cares?

Why is the popular concept of god one of separation and need? Even Christians believe that god is omnipotent or omniscient, and therefore there cannot be a place or state that is devoid of his/her/its presence. So how could anyone or anything gain separation from god in order to necessitate being welcomed back in the first place? What kind of puny god would create beings with such disappointing flaws, which had such powerful mood influence on him/her/it? The model of a needy god, constantly frustrated by the beings it created and prepared to destroy them for not providing the required satisfaction, is a very human model, a composite of all the emotional frailties of the humans that created it. My god needs nothing! My god isn't separate from me. Belief and disbelief are but two states of mind among an infinite number, and are irrelevant to my existence. I exist because god exists. My god cannot be offended, hurt or injured in any way, because my god is all states of being; everything that is, everything that is not, and everything in between! We are inseparable, because there is only one of us; all of us! Atheists and believers are but two facets of the infinite being, constantly expressing itself in an infinite number of ways.

Just because the Lord is all loving, doesn't mean he forces you to accept him. Atheists have the choice to accept God and God loves all people, but those that don't accept him will not be with him for eternity.

I couldn't care less. I worry about my own life and let others worry about theirs.

I have to "come back (BRIEFLY) to address this and maybe 1-2 other posts by "bowtothelord." I've read and kept quiet, but don't you folks realize that this man is trying to undermine AB by selectively pointing out certain people and by continuing to spout his own religious opinions, both in the religion section and OUT of the religious section???? I agree with Painful Ginsu and some others. He has a right to his opinion sure. But when it comes to personally attacking indivuals on here as he has done in some of his replies I have seen, I think that is outside the line and that might well be why AB has CLOSED DOWN the questions as being nonsense/offensive/spam, etc. If he wants to post here, fine. But to encourage it, when in a short time so many questions of his have been totally denounced and voted OUT, seems to me to just be asking for trouble. Rate me however you want. I am gone but for making a few comments on this. But even though I am gone, I still want AB to have high standards and also SOME degree of monitoring things from stupid questions asked by kids to things like this man has posted at times which in some cases have been down right abusive.

he loves all of his children, not just two of them...but they have to trust god first...." if you are not for me, then you are agaisnt me" see?

If an Athiest were to accept Jesus as their Savior and that He died on the cross for their sins, then I truly believe that God will open His loving arms and welcome them back into the fold. Many people will have the chance to accept Him, according to Revelations, during His second coming. God Bless, <:))))<><

b2tl, if you are trying to bully people into submitting to God, you might ask yourself why. Is it a reflection of your own self? Personally, I think God is love, and that is what is attractive about God. I appreciate your zeal, but stop and consider, what is your objective? Is it honestly to help people?
-
If he doesn't welcome them back then I'm done screwed. Oh wait he told me I'm not. You see now that I have a close relationship with the almighty I can tell you that anyone who sincerly asks God for forgivness will receive full pardon for all their sins including the sin of denying God.

God forgives and loves all his children in his world, so yes.
-
ask him
-
Of course he will. The LORD loves everyone, including people who have done things much worse than being an atheist. All you have to do is accept him into your heart and he will reward you most bounteously with ululating oils and such that you can anoint your feet with (if you want to). Where better to spend eternity than bu HIS side in heaven above. HALLELUJAH!

should he exist, only if we were to sit up, roll over, and play dead.
