Well, I was a very young hippy and I think that people were much friendlier and more laid back. But the oid crisis in the seventies changed all that and things began to get tougher. Compared to today, life was a bowl of cherries. Now no-one has time for anyone any more. They're all too busy and stressed.

I was in high school in the 60s and I think the kids that age now have it a lot better. Woodstock happened the summer I graduated from school. I went into the workforce, no time to party. The hippie movement was a whole different world other than the one I was familiar with. I was having a great time.. moved from a rural community to a city, worked in a hospital, made lots of new friends. I didn't need to search for my identity, I already knew it.
