  • People with depression often complain of aches, pains and other health problems that might not exist. I can't believe none of the doctors suggested this. While depression is the most likely culprit, it could be the only way that he gets positive attention or someone to nurture him.

  • You guys are a**holes! This woman clearly has an issue and has asked for advice. My husband does this also! Every day he complains about something... he has a headache, he has chest pains, his sternum hurts, his toe hurts, he can't breathe... He has seen multiple doctors and even a cardiologist and no one can find anything wrong with him. I can't even get him to have sex with me because he's afraid it will complicate an issue or pain that he is having.

I have had a couple of diagnosed medical problems (herniated disc from scuffle with an inmate; post-concussion syndrome from sparring (44 y.o :)but I do realize that I refer to these and other physical issues constantly. For me, I get a lot of positive attention from women at work and would like to get this attention and nurturing from my wife. I never have and should stop beating a dead horse. I now see that both my young sons complain about real or imaginary problems because they see me doing this. I am determined to stop and to focus on things I enjoy despite any discomfort that may be present.
