  • There's nothing there yo...
  • i havent seen the movie yet, but you bring up a good point.
  • No, but I did pick up on the fact that Robert Downey Jr., a charismatic substance abuser, portrayed Tony Stark (Ironman), a charismatic substance abuser. It's worth noting that both Downey and his movie character spent time in prison.
  • John McCain is called a maverick because he is a political ''non - conformist'' and as such, comes close to the noun 'maverick's' definition ( a lone dissenter, as an intellectual, an artist, or a politician, who takes an independent stand apart from his or her associates). Tom Cruise's fictional character was called maverick by the author because of a similar non - conformist attitude, but having nothing to do with politics. Is that what you're talking about yo?...
  • Yes I did notice and have posted several answers on the subject. If Senator McCain is a "Maverick" and we take the Top Gun context that does not favor senator McCain at all. For information purposes: The Republicans use the term "Maverick" beginning with a capital letter which denotes it is a name not a noun. If we relate the term to the film, Tom Cruise "Maverick" was irresponsible until his best friend lost his life.
