  • Yes, as a person lacking faith...well not having faith, death scares me a considerable amount. I would do whatever I could to stay alive.
  • Is that "would you", or "should you"?? In the UK you would get treatment on the NHS, any chance is a chance??
  • Depends on which treatment and how long it would be estimated it would last for. e.g. testicular cancer - Yeah I'd have the surgery. Freeze some of my assets first though.
  • Having lost several family members to cancer, I would have to say no. I couldn't let my children go through that long, drawn out battle, when the chances are that in the end I would lose. Plus, I think it would kill my husband to have to watch me slowly dying. We've actually had this conversation and said that the chances would have to be at least 50%. This is just what we have decided for us - and I absolutely do not push this opinion on anyone else.
  • I don't think so. I would use all my strength i had left to enjoy what little life i had left. I would not want to be sick and miss important things because i was on treatment. I think 20% would be a message in itself.
  • It depends upon what 20% means and how long it would prolong my life and what greater quality of life would be acheived. If it gave me another year of good living, I could really enjoy that with my family, finish some books, and prepare my affairs. I could not give a cut and dry answer. I know one thing, I already have a 100% chance of dying. The death rate so far is pretty impressive. I want to live until then.
