It depends on what you mean by addictive. They're not addictive in the same way as opiates like morphine. With opiates, there is a physiologic dependence on the drug plus a behavioral component (drug seeking at the expense of all other aspects of life). With antidepressants, your body does get used to them, so that'a form of tolerance. People usually have to decrease the dose slowly if they're going off the meds, otherwise there are some rebound symptoms. But it's not classical addiction.
