I will not be going to Beijing for the Olympic Games. The number of people is staggering for one month, even taking China’s huge population into account. The fact that rabies is a real problem over there does not surprise me because of the many times I have seen footage of rural areas in China, and indeed in much of Asia, there seem to be many stray dogs running about.

Yes I am, although I'm sure if I am happy or not about it. Are you sure the thing about 385 people dying in China from rabies is true? I'm not not believing you (double negative), but could you tell me where you heard/read that?
