How to Use Keywords to Build Web Site Traffic

  • Step 1:
    Use a keyword tool to research what keywords people are using to find content. Find tools at the end of this article.
  • Step 2:
    Use different keywords on each page of your website. Use the keywords that specifically relate to the content on the web page.
  • Step 3:
    Determine keywords according to what your target market would use to find your topic. Optimize your web pages for only two or three keywords per page.
  • Step 4:
    Put keywords in the page title since search engines will search the title first. Then use keywords in the web content in a natural way that flows with the website copy.
