Question

Help answer this question below.

I, and MOST others, am not able to obtain a simple state drivers license without a birth certificate.
How is it that Barack Obama can be elected to the most influential political office in our nation without producing the same document?
Is this right?

Because zillions of (relatively powerless) people get drivers licenses, rules have evolved and tightened up over the years.

Because only a few (powerful) people get to be President, the rules have not changed much in 200 years -- and in the 1700s, when everybody in national politics knew everybody, and the system had just been invented, the rules were lax.
