    call me Kat

I was Mormon for about a year, and was even a missionary. But when my stepdaughter's (also Mormon) child passed away, she went to the Bishop to ask for a loan (not a gift) so she could give the baby a decent funeral. He refused, so I sold my classic Ford pickup to give the money for the funeral. I decided that any religion that would refuse to loan a grieving mother enough to bury her child, was not the one for me.

    • If you were only a member for "about a year" how did you go on a mission when in order to do that you must be a member for atleast a year?

    • They had me going out after 3 months, dear. Don't know about having to belong for at least a year, nobody told me that when they recruited me and sent me out to people's homes.
