I am 25.I drive a 95 Mitsubish Mirage LS. I paid for this car new when I was 18 it was paid off when I was 21. No I don't think parents should buy there kids a new car considering it hard enough to pay for your own car. Also consider that your kids are going to mess up when they first start driving. My first car was a 87 Toyota corolla. The paint job was fading and chipped and I paid a whole $800.00 at a car auction. It ran for 2 years and never left me stranded. Kids now are to proud to drive a car like that. I also had to pay the insurance on my car and keep up with all the maintaince.
